BRAND SUSTAINABILITY INITIATIVES

Many of our brands at Hede Fashion Outlet have products that contain recycled material instead of newly produced. Scroll down to read about some brand initiatives or feel free to ask in your store to find out more.

LEVI’S

At Levi’s®, we’re convinced that quality is a first step to sustainability. Because when a pair of jeans is made to last, it isn’t limited to one owner, one era or even one lifetime. You live in Levi’s®, then you pass them on to someone else to do the same. So we can all act with sustainability in mind, extend the wear on what we love, and consume less over time. We strive to achieve industry-leading goals such as: 100% sustainably grown cotton by 2025 100% renewable energy in facilities we own and operate in 2025 40% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions in our supply chain 50% reduction in water use in manufacturing in water-scarce areas by 2030 80% of products manufactured in factories that apply our 2020 Occupational Health initiatives Text by Levi’s®

PEAK PERFORMANCE

The second you produce anything, you leave a mark. Our non-stop race for bigger, better and faster has led to catastrophic heating, fueled by CO2 emissions. The earth cannot keep up with consumption, waste, pollution, conflict, de-forestation, de-glaciation, over-fishing, social injustices and plain human stupidity.

We know that our biggest impact is within the production of our products and the materials we use. That means that we need to have a high focus on fibers, processes, and innovations. All this is paired with our circular principles and resource efficiency. We are confident that we will reach our final goal of using 100% sustainable materials by 2026.

At the end of the day, if a consumer resists getting a new garment because the old one still performs we have saved the world from yet another new item being produced - we call that a success. Text from Peak Performance.

L'Occitane

1 of 3 L’Occitane is a company that cares deeply about the environment and is constantly working to reduce the use of plastic. Our goal is that by 2025, all our bottles will be made from 100% recycled plastic, and all stores will have their own recycling where customers can recycle their L’Occitane packaging. Many of L’Occitane’s products are in ECO refills, and when you buy an ECO refill product instead of the original packaging, we always save between 65% -90% plastic! In 2017, L’Occitane’s plastic consumption decreased by 7% thanks to the customers who chose refills. Text produced by L'Occitane.

LINDT

What makes Lindt chocolate unique is that they handle, control and take responsibility for the entire process from the cocoa bean to the final production of the chocolate cake. This means that Lindt has full control over the entire process and can ensure the standard of living in the countries where the beans come from and also ensure the quality of the beans and implement sustainability throughout the chain. Since 2008, Lindt has had his own "Farming Program". To ensure this program, it is checked by a third party "Earthworm Foundation" every year. Up to 80,000 farmers are included in the program and they receive support from Lindt for the farmers themselves, their farms, families and local communities to improve their living standards and ensure sustainable agriculture. HAGLÖFS

Crafts, also for the next generation Here in the Nordics, where we have our roots, it is obvious how our landscape changes year by year. If we do not help slow these changes, they will have profound consequences for future generations. And it is our future generations that we must keep in mind when creating our products. Our commitments focus on three areas: A life well lived, One Planet Production och Our people. Text from Haglöfs

BERGANS

The Stranda collection consists of first-class ski clothing and includes shell garments, midlayers and heat-insulating garments padded with down and synthetic materials. All designed so that they can be easily repaired if they should be damaged, so-called Design For Repair.

The products are produced in collaboration with We Are Spindye, who have developed a new dyeing method for textiles. The dyeing method reduces water consumption by up to 75%, chemical consumption by 90%, energy consumption by 25% and carbon dioxide emissions by up to 30%, compared to traditional dyeing. In addition, all down products in the collection are filled with 100% recycled down from Re:Down, and all insulated products are filled with synthetic Priamloft quality made from 55% recycled polyester.

We hope that Stranda will inspire people to choose more sustainable clothes in the future. When we create high-quality products that consumers enjoy using, we also believe they will maintain and take better care of them. Hopefully the consumer also chooses to repair the garments if they are damaged. Giving products a long lifespan is absolutely essential for sustainable consumption.

PUMA

As a sports brand, we know a thing or two about pushing ourselves to be better. We see sustainability in much the same way. It's about applying our strenghts. Acknowledging and improving our weaknesses. And making a team effort to reach a common goal.

At PUMA, we're working to manage our impacts and improve our performance across ten key sustainability areas. By doing so, we'll make better products, and contribute to a better environment and society. And as we make progress, we'll keep raising the bar to new and higher levels. Text produced by PUMA.

Responsibly Crafted is our brand philosophy. A holistic business approach that guides us across our company. It is our commitment to rethink the way we produce and consume fashion. From reducing our environmental impact to supporting human rights and animal welfare. We care. And we believe.

We believe in longevity. In testing and designing garments to last. In helping consumers care for their garments the right way.

We believe in circularity. In designing for recycling and renewing used clothes for a new life. In restorative ways of designing that support a circular economy.
