Live Podcast with Janka & Marte
Janka Polliani and Marte Bratberg visited Oslo Fashion Outlet on Saturday, November 2, to host an exclusive live podcast! If you missed the event, you now have the chance to watch or rewatch highlights from the episode here.
Janka and Marte on Home Ground: Podcast Recording at Oslo Fashion Outlet
Oslo Fashion Outlet was buzzing with activity as the popular podcasters Janka Polliani and Marte Bratberg made their way to Vestby to record a very special episode of their podcast – live from the outlet. It was a day packed with memorable experiences for both the duo and the attendees.
Being a Vestby native, Marte Bratberg knows Oslo Fashion Outlet very well. This time, she had the chance to show her hometown to her good friend and podcast partner, Janka. “It was so much fun bringing Janka to my hometown and showing her the place where I’ve spent so much time,” Marte shared.
Before the recording session, Janka and Marte took their time exploring the outlet. They visited several fantastic stores, snagged some great shopping deals, and recharged with delicious food and drinks.
The day’s main attraction was, without a doubt, the live podcast recording. Inside Oslo Fashion Outlet’s specially designed glasshouse, all the visitors could listen in as the duo shared stories, laughs, and insights. The episode was packed with humor, honest reflections, and, of course, some shopping tips.
For those who couldn’t be there, highlights from the session were captured on video – a sneak peek that perfectly captures the lively atmosphere and chemistry between Janka and Marte.
After the recording, Janka and Marte spent time meeting their fans. Many took the opportunity to snap a selfie, get an autograph, or simply chat with the charismatic duo.

Check out our Q&A below! Find out which wardrobe staples they swear by, what they have in common (and how they’re different), and their most unforgettable Christmas party moments.
How do you dress to feel both fresh and comfortable on cold fall and winter days, and how do you balance practicality with style?
Marte: I love colorful jackets combined with warm wool sweaters. It’s comfortable and adds a bit of color during the darker season.
Janka: Wool as the base layer! I often wear a thin long-sleeve shirt and wool briefs or long underwear on cold days. Fall is my favorite season—perfect for layering.
What are the three essential pieces everyone should have in their fall and winter wardrobe this year?
Marte: A good suit, preferably wool, that can be worn together or separately. Suit pants and a blazer work for both everyday and festive occasions. And winter boots that are both practical and cool. Feel free to call me if you have tips!
Janka: A good, long wool coat that can be worn both casually and for dressier occasions. Add some brown, pink, or burgundy tones to your wardrobe. With a solid base wardrobe, you can play with trends without completely changing your style.
What are you similar in, and what are you most different in, when it comes to style?
Marte: We both love colors! Janka likes high fashion, but I don’t care much about it.
Janka: As Marte says, we’re both into colors, but I lean more towards logos and expensive shoes and bags.
Describe each other in three words.
Marte: Janka is generous, honest, and beautiful.
Janka: Marte is the kindest person I know, a joy-spreader, and like a sister.
What’s your best tip for keeping energy up as the days get shorter and colder?
Janka: Get outside, no matter the weather! And make it as cozy as possible at home with candles and music, since you’ll spend a lot of time indoors.
Tell us a secret or some gossip we don’t know about you.
Both: Hmm, if you listen to “Janka & Marte,” you probably know everything there is to know.
How do you organize Christmas shopping—any life hacks to make it less stressful?
Marte: I make shopping lists and have a plan. It saves me a lot of time.
Janka: I’m terrible at organizing Christmas shopping and always leave everything to the last minute, but this year, I’m planning to start early.
Who do you prefer to take shopping - partner or kids?
Marte: Neither of them, haha, but if I have to choose, I’d take my seven-month-old, who sits in the stroller.
Janka: I love going shopping with the kids. They’re at an age where shopping is starting to be cool, and I get a little extra time with them.
What’s your ultimate “feel-good” activity when you’re off?
Janka: A call with Marte, a walk with the dog and kids, exercise, and travel.
Marte: Massage? Is that an activity? Haha.
What are your go-to gifts for friends and family? Do you have any set Christmas traditions?
Marte: I make a family calendar every year for my parents. For friends and family without a specific wish list, I always go for candles and various creams.
Janka: Skincare, experiences like theater and concerts, wool clothing, and home decor are my usual choices.
What’s the funniest or most memorable holiday party moment you’ve had?
Janka: Last year, we had a holiday party at Theatercaféen in Oslo, and it was so nice that I’ve already booked a table for this year—Marte, I guess I forgot to tell you, sorry!
What’s at the top of your Christmas wish list this year?
Marte: I need new winter boots and am dreaming of a nice watch.
Janka: Maybe something new for the home, or a pair of new headphones.
What’s the most spontaneous thing you’ve done together?
Janka: Haha, starting the podcast was very spontaneous; I probably nagged Marte a bit about it.
Marte: Starting the podcast! It was very spontaneous.
